I use social media tools including Skype video, Twitter, ustream and mogulus in my teaching. I encourge students to use the tools we discuss and share all the content of my lectures with the social media community I have built around me. Here's a sample lecture and slides on "Geolocation and News" I gave to MA journalism students at the University of Western Ontario. Like all content from the course, they are freely available online. I also do a fair bit of public speaking across Canada.
